A Milestone Takes Shape in Fort Worth; FAA Certifies Next-Generation Widebody Freighter at Aspire MRO Hangar

The aviation industry reached a significant milestone on April 8, 2026, when Mammoth Freighters LLC received Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification — including the award of a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) — for its 777-200LRMF (Long Range Mammoth Freighter), a next-generation widebody freighter conversion that took shape right here in our Fort Worth hangar.

FAA certification is no small feat, and securing an STC even less so. It validates every engineering decision, every technical detail, and every hour of skilled labor that goes into bringing a conversion program to life. For the 777-200LRMF, that work happened on our floor, carried out by Aspire and Mammoth teams working side by side.

The 777-200LRMF is built on the proven Boeing 777 platform and incorporates Mammoth’s proprietary conversion design. It features the largest main-deck cargo door in its class, a reinforced floor structure, and an advanced, flexible cargo handling system — all optimized for both long-haul and regional freight operations. With certification now complete, the aircraft is cleared for commercial service, ready to meet the demands of global cargo networks.

For Aspire MRO, this certification is a reflection of what we do best: delivering complex, high-precision conversion and maintenance work to the highest standards. Our facility is home to five of Mammoth’s planned production lines — a partnership that speaks to the trust placed in our team’s expertise and the quality of our operations.

As Mammoth now looks ahead to aircraft deliveries and continued progress on its 777-300ERMF program, we’re proud to be the facility where this chapter of aviation history was written.

This is what widebody MRO excellence looks like — and we’re just getting started.
